Cinemagraphs are photographs that contain some amount of motion, that makes the viewer believe they’re watching a video. Cinemagraphs are in GIF format that support looping frames. People tend to confuse normal animated gifs with them. In my opinion, a good cinemagraph only has a subtle movement just to add that slight amount of illusion you need. Cinemagraphs have been around for some two years now, and they are getting more and more popular among designers. In this round-up, I’d like to share my favourite fine-crafted cinemagraphs with you. Please enjoy.
